JESUS IS THE GATE
Gospel of JOHN 10:7-10 : So again Jesus said to them, "Very truly, I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and bandits; but the sheep did not listen to them.
I am the gate. Whoever enters by me will be saved, and will come in and go out and find pasture. "
Life was quite difficult before modern dental care. Although civilization means tons of sugar in food, tons of sugar in drinks and other erosive culinary instruments like alcohol, coffee and smoking, but still those barbarian ages before the sophisticated dental care kicked off for humanity were quite dental barbarian eras like the population of the United Kingdom was called the people of the rotten teeth before the end of the second world war.
It was definitely a great technological jump, when a Londoner, Mr. William Addis manufactured the first modern toothbrush as early as in the year of 1780. Life events are often paradoxical, nothing is really calculable. Causality in real life, often, does not follow logic, and the causal connection seems to be completely missing between close occurings. Coincidence and Providence had been, for a while, almost equivalent philosophical terms around college cafeterias in Cambridge and Oxford, where occasionally some expired food items may have caused diarrhea, but they thanked God, that it was not fatal like cholera.
It happened that in 1770, that Mr. William Addis had been jailed for causing a riot in Spitalfields. Being a restless Englishman of vital talents, meanwhile in prison, he observed, how a simple broom sweeps the floor from crumbles. Thus, he got the idea of the toothbrush, and decided that the prevalent methods of cleaning the teeth were ineffective and must be improved. In prison he took a small animal bone from the prison meal, and he drilled small holes into it. He then put some bristles in it, which he tied in tufts and sealed with glue.
After he had served his time as a rioter, immediately he started a business to manufacture the toothbrushes he invented. Under the brand name of Wisdom Toothbrushes, the company nowadays manufactures 70 million toothbrushes per year in the UK, saving wisdom teeth, but not only, from early rotting.
The UK government, maybe out of a postwar solidarity sentiment, in 1946, established the national health service by creating free Medicare for all in the United Kingdom, and that included free dental Care. However, it looks like that the nobility and the money aristocracy got jealous of the dental equality in society, and wanted inequality and feudalism back, so the free dental care began eroding from 1951 year by year raising fees and contributions from the patients.
This practice led to the conditions of today that technically the citizens must pay almost for everything at the dentist from their own purse, which is of course an outrageous discrimination against the low income population commonly called the poor. It is the same shame in Canada, same obsession with dental barbarism. We should not leave anybody behind with their dental problems, meanwhile dentists do their fulfilling jobs, creating crowns, dentures, and building wonderful bridges.
Regarding real bridges on Earth most of them built artificially, like the Golden Gate in San Francisco, or the Confederation Bridge at PEI, though some bridge looking phenomenon were made by nature by the forces used to shape the mountains. However, there is a particular type of bridge built by nature, which is almost invisible, and most of them are supposed to be in the outer space, but not always. This particularly almost invisible bridge is the so-called Einstein-Rosen bridge, as it is most commonly known the wormhole, as it is. It is supposed to be an odd tunnel with two ends at separate points in space-time, like in different locations, or even different points in time, or both).
The possibility of the existence of the wormholes are scientifically proven, but no one has ever seen one yet. Nonetheless, many physicist, such as the world-famous Stephen Hawking, Kip Thorne, and others argued, that the quantum field theory allows such physical effects that might make it possible to stabilize a traversable wormhole, aka science says that a wormhole, which like a tunnel may really bridge the gap between stars, it might be very well traversable, not all of them, but it is possible that some are traversable, back and forth.
Theoretically, a wormhole like a tunnel or a bridge might connect, extremely long distances such as a billion light years, or short distances such as a few meters, or different points in time, or even different universes, still it is rather like a tunnel between two worlds, having gates in both ends, and this phenomenon interstellar travel reasonable.
There were ancient rumors among ancient nations and empires, which is debunked and discredited by many scientists, that there are a couple of wormholes, whose closer end is connected to the Earth. However, even science says, that theoretically it is really possible, moreover not only to discover wormholes for interstellar travel, but science also says, that theoretically it is also possible the create wormholes artificially. These space tunnels have two ends.
The opening side of these wormhole-tunnels on Earth were called Star Gates by ancient peoples. Most academics denies even the very possibility of their existence, though it is hardly deniable that according to the scientific framework, the very natural existence of these space tunnel is possible, and even the technological creation of an artificial space tunnel is possible. Hardly imaginable, but possible.
Especially, very intriguing that the Bible itself reads that in the ancient days “The Nephilim, the giants, were in the earth in those days, ... when God’s sons came in to men’s daughters and had children with them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.” Two different species having hybrid children sounds very biological, whatever the term God’s sons means in the Mesopotamian context. According to the Mesopotamian texts these sons of God came from the sky.
Modern physics maintains, that anybody from a different star system, must travel faster then light to get here in reasonable time, and one of the methods to do that is the wormhole tunnel, natural or artificial. It is also interesting, that the famous Tower of Babel, was located in Babel, where the Semitic translation of its name means the Gate of the Gods.
Also the same Bible mentions that the Garden of Eden is a gated garden, guarded by the Cherubs with flame swords. The gates are entry points of passing from a world to an other, so it should not be a surprise that there is a gate between this visible world and Heaven.
Jesus said that the sheep of the sheepfold belong to him, the Good Shepherd, and that realm on Earth already the Kingdom of Heaven, descended on Earth. He said that “very truly, I tell you, anyone who does not enter the sheepfold by the gate but climbs in by another way is a thief and a bandit.” Thus, we can see, that the very sheephold is a gated community. And he added, that “I am the gate. ” So the only criteria of being a sheepfold member, that we belong to Jesus. No popes, no patriarchs, no reformers, not even Apostles, but Jesus only. No one can circumnavigate Jesus to push him aside, and enter the sheepfold.
Nonetheless, the Reformers, maintained that the true church, the sheephold, is invisible, as the visible church is often fails to fulfill the criteria of being the sheephold, as Jesus is the only gate. May God bless our hearts with the blessed assurance, that we belong to the Lord, and we bless only his name, by the Holy Spirit, now and always. AMEN
